Easy Rice Cake with brown sugar syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour (4.6 oz or 130g)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (0.88oz or 25g)
  • cup hot water ( 79g or 2.79oz)

Brown Sugar syrup

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (1.94oz or 55g)
  • 4 tbsp water ( 59g or 2.08oz)

Instructions

  • Mix the glutinous flour, sugar and hot water together until it forms a dough
  • Form dough into individual 2 inch/5 cm long sausage shape. Set aside
  • Add some oil into a pan and heat on medium
  • Pan fry the rice cake until it's golden brown. Place the cooked rice cake onto a plate
  • Optional but you can sprinkle some soy bean flour onto the rice cake. Enjoy as it is or make a brown sugar syrup with it.
  • Place brown sugar and sugar into a small pot. Heat on medium low until it becomes syrupy.
  • Drizzle onto the rice cake. Enjoy!
